Light Upon All Mothers

May a comforting golden beam of light shine upon all mothers today, Upon the beautiful women who struggle with infertility and miscarriage, Upon the precious mothers who have lost a beloved child. Upon the unconditionally loving and grateful daughters who have lost their dear mothers And upon those for whom today marks a heart-wrenching first Mother’s Day without their dear mama. Upon the selfless and courageous women who gave up motherhood before raising a child in our chaotic world   Light upon the beautiful single ladies who wish to become mothers; however, life takes longer than expected. Light upon the heroic, tenacious single mothers who face enormous challenges each day Light upon inspiring women who have given birth through their hearts while embracing the miracle of adoption. And upon those courageous women whose hearts rip apart when they have to say goodbye. And upon women whose mothers were not there to protect them or demonstrate their love. May a beam of hope shine up...

Precious Senior Moments

 Before the pandemic, the meaning of miracles was different for me. Before the pandemic, I did not enjoy speaking with strangers at the supermarket. I was always exhausted when grocery shopping, as I usually did this after a long day at work serving the public. I hated waiting in line and did not seem to appreciate all the blessings around me. The rain, the cold, the stress at work, and so on. The heavy bags and the "dreadful" activity of organizing groceries in the refrigerator! All the excuses to complain about life!  And then a global pandemic hits. Paper towels and toilet paper were off the shelves, and so was my best friend: Clorox!  And millions of people, particularly seniors worldwide, die left and right, and friends and relatives who work in hospitals and ICUs become your window to reality. "Watch out, this stuff is nasty," they warn you.  And panic overwhelms your spirit, and groceries must be now ordered online and delivered to your car. The superheroes w...
